For the long version, the original "Cosmos" miniseries holds up very well, despite the 30 years that have passed since its orginal airing.

I remember it was updated later but it just seemed a bit patchy. Wow.. 30 years since the original aired? It's hard to believe it's been that long. I think a lot of the special effects were done with models and film effects instead of computer graphics.

It is funny seeing this shortly after posting something about the 'Contact' film in a friend's journal. He suggested I draw it up as a diagram and put it on the Wikipedia page for 'Contact (film)'
