berkeley is frustrating. on the heels of the closure of one of the last theatres that plays indie/artsy films -- act I and II -- comes another loss.

oh shit. act 1&2 closed too? Did they ever get a proper restaurant set up? I went many years ago, and they had like choice of 2 pastas. How long does fresh pasta last?

yeah -- i think the restaurant offered like 8 pastas every day along with free wine. i will sorely miss them.

i've left fresh pasta in the fridge for maybe 4-5 days and have cooked and eaten it and not died. perhaps it depends on if there's eggs in it. for longer-term storage it should probably go into the freezer.

i only saw what they had done to fine arts couple weeks ago. Tragic. Maybe it's my fault for not having paid any movie theater for many years. Maybe it was inevitable.

I was really sad that the theaters closed with like 0 anouncement. I just walked by one day and it was all boarded up. So sad :( Business seems to be really bad in Berkeley. It's a real shame.
