This is really lovely. The times when John goes to Mycroft and stays silent as they sit together are particularly poignant - full of the weight of John's pain and Mycroft's concern - and interest, perhaps. Well done!

I really like it.
However it makes me somehow sad that John didn't stay with Mycroft.

Yeah poor Mycroft, but I guess he is used to being alone. Thanks for reading <3

I am glad you liked it. The truth is I hadn´t thought about a sequel -but it could very well, be just as you say, perhaps Sherlock was lying to John and Irene was indeed pregnant which would lead us to angst and just too much oddness and more suffering Mycroft who realises he also loves John and then I guess Sherlock would still win...

You see S/J are my beloved OTP, I ache physically when they are not together, even if they are not the main pairing of what I am reading (a bit obssesed, I know XD)

But I don´t think I will be writting that anytime soon -I have two very large stories, I am working on the moment and well, they are taking my time.

I am happy to hear, you think that they were in character -I tend to have issues, when they do not seem to be themselves, so yeah, at least if I managed that I am satisfied.

Yes, John seemed a bit weary, he might not have been very trusting in the end but he can´t really never say no to Sherlock.

Oh you should, definitivaly watch POTC -I love it so much <3 ( ... )

Sorry about the misunderstanding; that wasn't what I was thinking of, although that's certainly one way this could go.

I meant, suppose that Sherlock knew, given that she was going into hospital and that Mycroft would make a point of knowing her condition - that she *wasn't* pregnant, but still tried on this story. That would be extremely painful too, particularly as it would mean that both Mycroft (and Sherlock - he'd *tell* Sherlock about *that*) had allowed this to play out and hurt John.

Well that would be another way it could go, yes.

I understand now, and yes it would be quite painful to John.

Thanks for you thoughts <3.
