Wow, sounds awful (your sickness) - glad you're on the mend! Your dinner looks yummy too!

I'm certainly thankful the worst of it only lasted about 24 hours. Thanks for the well wishes, or not wishing me any specific harm. ;)

Oooh, that VD dinner looked beautiful! I'm so envious; you not only make your food taste good, you make it look good, too.

I'm glad you're on the mend. What an awful thing to be laid up with! I hope future germs leave you the heck ALONE.

Chris plated that one and a mighty fine job he did. I think we were both a little inspired to put some effort into plating after going to Flyte. ;)

Thanks, me too!

I guess at least I can be thankful that the worst of it only lasted about 24 hours. Maybe the supplements early on did work to shorten the duration (which is about all you can really hope for when you're catching bug like that).

It was a fantastic dinner! I'm glad Chris can and even enjoys cooking.
Yes!

Indeed! When we both worked, we'd come home and cook together almost every night. Thinking back on our tiny, inefficient kitchen in our old house, I have no idea how we did it. Our kitchen is twice the size of our old one and we still crowd each other when we try to cook together. I think he misses cooking sometimes. But I'm sure he's happy to not have to prepare a meal when he gets home from a long day at work.
Yes. :)

Please get 100% well soon!

That dinner looks wonderful... *drool*

Gabriel's teachers advised us that all items for their valentine's party had to be store bought. Although it helped a little that I didn't have to stress of baking stuff at the last minute, it kinda takes the fun out of making something fun at home to share with others. Meh, I guess there is time for that later.

BTW: How dark is your brick? Got a picture? Getting our roof redone is on house todo list for later this year (or maybe early 2010 if I can let it slide), and I'm starting to think about how I should start to think about it :)

Working on that, most certainly.

It was quite wonderful!

That's interesting. Come to think of it, everyone who signed up to bring cookies and such brought store bought, but I'm not sure that they specifically requested they do that.

Our brick isn't really dark, kind of a medium red with variations:
