I so envy your ability and commitment to running! You're amazing! <3 I'm really glad Tommy-bear is back to run with you, too! He might not be the smartest boy, but at least he loves you enough to run into you all the time. xD I hope you can do the Color Run. It sounds like so much fun!

Thank you! It's just a part of my life now, so I don't see it as particularly amazing... *blushes* Tommy-Bear is back, but it's really hot out so I haven't been jogging with him yet. He loves going with me! He even knows our route. Plus, *whispers* he chases those stupid killdeer birds away. I love him for that.

The Color Run is going to be great! Every time I think about it I get really excited! :D :D :D You wear all white. I think I'll take my phone and monies in a ziploc bag, plus a change of clothes, wet wipes, and towels. I have no idea what to expect except that it'll be fun!

Hahaha, expect except. :0)

^seconded! No wonder you feel proud of yourself! Working out totally makes you feel better, and running sounds so liberating and refreshing, especially in the countryside with a clean air and no cars getting in your way.

*blushes harder* It does makes you feel better, yes! Especially with good music! Sometimes a song will come on and I speed up with a burst of energy. I like to imagine I'm Sonic the Hedgehog (I think I've mentioned this before to you!)

Cars scare me! I used to bike too, but I don't want to be hit by a car and die. I'm so fortunate to have my empty country roads! The only bad thing is that the air reeks of corn. Corn fields that have soaked up the sun all day have a really tart, musty, and strong smell that makes my nose itch. At least it's not car exhaust fumes, though -- I shouldn't complain.

Oh, this is so wonderful to read. Since about five years I am a cyclic runner /biker too. I either run or bike. When I am on my "on" periods I feel like the strongest in the world. I can only agree to 100 % of what you say, all the benefits and the feeling. What you describe about running at your dad's, in the mountains makes me want to go and join you immediately! I love off-road running the best (paths/forest tracks), and also off-road biking. I have a mountain bike and I go as fast as I can. Sometimes I fall, then the bike handlebars smash into my thighs and I get huge bruises. In that sense, running is safe, but not as much fun from the get-go.

Good luck with the Color Run, it sounds like a great thing. Your time on 5k is great!!

Oh cool! I love the off-road biking and runnign too! It's so enjoyable that it's not like exercise anymore. Be careful when you bike! Wear a helmet! It sounds like it's a really neat place to run and bike where you live.

The Color Run is going to be so fun! I'm going to run again tonight, so let's see if I can keep that time or cut it even a little shorter. ;)
