Title: Tag (10/11)
Pairing: Kurt/Puck
Rating: PG
Spoilers: None that I can think of
Summary: Who doesn't love a good game of tag? And who doesn't love playing tag with post-it notes?
A/N: This was my favorite part to write! I don't know Kurt's mom's name so I kinda made one up. That will make more sense after you read the story!

Burt Hummel was not a stupid man. He knew what was going on with his son and Puck right now. Their feet were probably next to each other, lightly pushing together, just so they could be touching. Burt wasn’t a stupid man, he had done the exact same thing with his Maria. They would sit at the table and if they sat across from each other their feet would be touching; if they were sitting next to each other the would be holding hands. Yeah, Burt wasn’t a stupid man. He knew that Kurt and Puck were in love, even if they haven’t told each other yet.

~~~---~~~
Kurt slowly moved his foot, trying to get a reaction out of Puck, and failing. Kurt started to move his foot away when he felt Puck’s hand on his ankle, holding him in place. Kurt hid his expression behind his cup as Puck started running his hand up and down Kurt’s pant leg. The hand disappeared though when his father started talking.
~~~---~~~

“So, what did the note say Noah?” Kurt’s eyes went wide when his father’s words hit him.

Puck glanced at Kurt before answering. “Excuse me sir?”

Burt placed his fork down and turned his head to look at Puck. “I mean, what did the note say, either the one that you placed on the back of Kurt’s pants, the one that was on the chicken pan, or the one you are about to pass to Kurt under the pasta bowl.”

Puck’s eyes matched Kurt as both boys stared at Burt, speechless. Burt just smiled as he looked at both boys. “I know the game boys. How else do you think I got Kurt’s mom to go out with me?” His expression softened at the mention of his late wife.

Kurt blushed as he looked down at his plate while Puck looked away from the table. “You probably don’t want to know Mr. Hummel.”

Burt nodded. “Probably not, if your notes are anything like ours were. Her parents almost caught us once, much like right now.”

Kurt focused even more on his plate. Puck though turned to face Burt. “So, who won?”

“We tied.” Burt pushed his chair out and stood up. He walked over to a china cabinet that use to belong to Kurt’s mom and pulled a photo album out. He returned to the table and flipped to the back of the book. “This is the last note between us. It was mine.”

You're all I want, you're all I see, so won't you please, marry me?

Kurt smiled at the note then looked up to see Puck smiling at him. Puck extended his hand towards Kurt who placed his hand in Puck’s. They sat like that while Burt put up the album. He smiled at his son and his boyfriend. They definitely loved each other.

Burt looked at the album one last time before closing the drawer. He headed towards the door but turned to look back at the two boys at the table before leaving. “Although, if I remember right, the person who catches the other leaving the notes wins and since I caught you, I guess I win.” Kurt and Puck turned to look at Burt. “So, Noah, make sure to be here tomorrow morning at 9. I have a nice long list of chores that needs to be done.”
