I have to say I'm on Bobby's side as far as John's parental skills are concerned!

Glad to hear it! Ah yes, I'd like to be on Bobby's side but as much as I can hate Papa W on the whim, I still prefer him to Bobby (very much so as its PAPA) who quite frankly annoyed the shite outta me in DT. With his "don't exorcise meg," talk gah.

This is so good.

First of all--I love how Sam steps up and is the one who believes Dean will be okay. He's strong when John is maybe not so much.

And as much as I hate it, John's decision to leave is so John. Sam's argument against it shows just how much Sam has come to realize. We nearly saw Sam become John at the end of last season, but thanks to Dean, he's able to balance it much better. So I want to hug Sam and kick John.

Sam's visions! You gave me a minute of limp!Sam!! You KNOW I'll love you for that. And it's interesting--the real physical toll of Sam's "powers." They're very physical when they come to him, and it only makes sense that a doctor would be worried about them. But what is Sam to do? What are any of them to do?

And Dean needs to wake up!!!!!!!!!

If we yell really loud, will that help?

I think John's gotten to the point where he's been broken for a while and now this is his fault (not really but sorta) and he doesn't have faith in anything anymore.

He had to leave, he couldn't not leave, there's a demon out there. He didn't go see Dean in Faith, or say hello in Lawrence. He has to go--its what he knows. Definately nearly saw the Sam into John transformation, and a little to the left and he might have taken demon!john's side instead of Dean's

Ah KNEW you'd like limp!Sam, which reminds me, more of that in the chapter I'm working on :D 's not fair, I'm thinking of Sam storylines but not enough Dean's. What IS Sam to do indeed!

John is just a messed up guy. That's kind of the best way I can see it. He has to finish this quest--that's the only way to make anything right. After sacrificing his sons' childhoods and innocence and possibly their lives, he has to kill the thing that started this or it was all for naught.

Exactly! And he has this naive thought that once its done, they're done but Dean's the only one who sees the hunt as good vs evil and NOT just vengeance.

IF I can get my ass in gear, have my homework finished BEFORE 12 and then I'll work on fic for the afternoon. IF that's done then yes, Sam will go limp for you.
