And I honestly haven't taken any cold medicine, because if I had, I would write that whole babbling off as crazy talk.
Dr. Jesson is called in
The first time I read this, I honestly thought it said, "Dr. Jensen" and I went, "Dr. Who?!" lol.
I think my favorite part in this chapter was John telling Sam about young Dean. There's so many arguments around fandom that Dean is the bridge to keep Sam and John from killing each other, and I like how they're bonding over Dean. It's weird, really, how each of them knows a different side than the other one knows.
Very good chapter, although I'm looking forward to the next one. ;) *claps hands excitedly* It's so nice to read these without going, "Damn you, comma" and "Screw you, Mr. Period!" *pets the pretty fic*
All right, Beans and I are off to go edit my Sam and Dean with swords fic.
Okay, I think I'm just tired. Not completely drug ( ... )

“Sir!” she says firmly. “Your son suffered-”
Suffered.
My son suffered.
that broke me in everything it said about that incident in the cabin and how John feels about it. I loved it. Then that flashback to Dean as a kid, a soldier, never being given the order to stand down. so he just didn't. you just know that kid stayed awake for that whole two days until his dad woke up and that's heartbreaking.
The conversation about how John doesn't know Dean. It's incredibly moving. I like how you have Sam try to fill in the gaps a bit. I'm not thrilled with John for leaving, and of course he goes and Sam is being hit with a whole new list of problems. This is all just really great story telling a wonderfull setup. Just wanted to say. And now I'm off to continue reading until daylight or tiredness kicks in.
