replacement word meters

Hi folks.

I find word meters encourage me to plant my butt and write daily words. Zokotou's word meter is therefore a hot button at the top of my Firefox window.

I was rather dismayed to see that it seems to have gone AWOL in the last day or so. Until the owners get things sorted out, there are a couple of alternatives:

I haven't found a word counter that can handle un-words and day by day comparisons. Zokotou was the closest, with its advanced counter that showed the daily progress against the main total.

I have a daily word count excel page, with a column for unwords. You could create a column to calculate daily differences. That's possibly the closest you could get for your requirements.

The numbers and counters give me a great deal of satisfaction and motivation.
