It's windy, rainy and cold! Yay...

...I love it! Okay, really: the wind is more like a soft breeze; the rain yesterday only lasted for 10 minutes (though it poured in other parts of Greece), and the temperature has only dropped a few degrees, but still. Autumn is on its way! I am very much enjoying this break for the unbearable heat. It's not because this summer has been ( Read more... )

*muses* it's raining for the first time in the last 3 days here as well. And, yes, three days without rain are like a LOT :D It was unbearable hot the this weekend. You couldn't even just SIT outside, doing nothing, without melting and burning ... I always love rain after a few really HOT days the most. It has this unique smell, don't you think? And it's great jumping and running around in that rain :D

I definitely agree about the unique smell of rain. It's a refreshing change, after a few days of draught. And I love running around in the rain! I think it'd be really fun, cool and dorky, to go out in the rain and sing the theme from "Singin' in the rain" - though that's bound to get a few stares from people passing by.

BTW, cute icon!

YES! the icon is LOVE on so many different levels :D

And, yes, singing in the rain is even better :D Who cares about stares from strangers anyway ;) A little Luna is good for everyone once in a while :D But not let the Nargels get you ;)

I think a Luna-style approach to everyday life could really work for many of us! Isn't there that old saying that goes, "Dance like there's no one watching" ? Sounds like a life motto, actually.

I definitely prefer summer to winter. Though I'm aware of the fact that there's a difference between your summer and ours. We thankfully very rarely reach 35°C, let alone 40°C which I think is possible in your area.
On the other hand regular houses here don't have air condition, only offices and shops. So up to 30° I can bear above that it gets difficult since you start to sweat just from moving the mouse cursor. ;)
I would say, around 25°C for about half of the year would be my preferred temperature. :)

You are so lucky! You're right, we reach 40°C and even 45°C at times. So sweating from moving the cursor is certainly a possibility! :)Today the temperature is 30°C, and it's a huge relief. Most people here install A/C in their homes (and sometimes more than one device), which only makes the situation worse for the atmosphere outside. Never mind the fact that, because air conditioning everywhere was working overtime, this summer we almost reached the limit of power the electricity company can provide; surpassing it could bring about huge blackouts across the country, for days on end. Hopefully there won't be another heat wave for the rest of the summer!
