It's windy, rainy and cold! Yay...
...I love it! Okay, really: the wind is more like a soft breeze; the rain yesterday only lasted for 10 minutes (though it poured in other parts of Greece), and the temperature has only dropped a few degrees, but still. Autumn is on its way! I am very much enjoying this break for the unbearable heat. It's not because this summer has been particularly hot - it's because I generally really really dislike the extremely hot weather we get here. And in July & August, having to be at places where there is no air-conditioning sucks, hard.
Of course I love going on vacation and I understand why many people scream with joy when they get a leave from work. It's great fun going to the beach, visiting the islands, having all the time to just lay on a couch and do absolutely nothing. But if I had to choose between summer and winter? Definitely winter. I can deal with the cold with the help of central heating and blankets. Fun time with friends is better - you invite them over to watch DVDs, talk or even play board games (I can't tell you how hilarious I've found playing charades to be); whereas in the summer there's this weird pressure to go out every single night and stay out till dawn. Even the clothes and the shoes worn in the wintertime are more stylish, classier and, well, better!
Hmm. Maybe I should get an icon featuring earmuffs and mittens, just to demonstrate my winter love. :D
