to answer your question: yeah, I think it worked very well. Cristina's comment was enough to send me into a tailspin of "what did she mean? Is she going to go set the others off gossiping? Is she ok with this? Oh crap..."
And then the timing of Bailey's comment was nice b/c as supportive as it was, Callie was already too far gone to really hear it. Nicely set up. :)
I can't wait to see where this goes next

Yeah, I totally get the idea of turning a positive response to a negative one. Usually you expect the worse in things and when you get the opposite, it send you spinning and you get paranoid! But that's just the negative person in me. Bleh!

When is the next chapter coming?
