The warmth and coziness of my room after ploughing through the bitter cold and harsh winds.

Hotel Babylon
I read this easily and while the BBC tv show is loosely based on it, the story is insightful into the British hospitality industry. I gave the book to my friend John to read since he's working in a 5-star hotel (Brisbane's Sofitel).

Christmas Day
The cooking went well, although the ribs didn't come out like the picture in the cookbook (they never do) even though they marinated overnight and I kept glazing and turning them while they were in the oven. I left them in the oven longer than I should have so it was a bit of a tough chew in the end =p
