Starling Burgess McCready, better known as Tasha Tudor, is dead.

There are no words for how much this hurts me. I knew Tasha and growing up in Vermont she was one of the most important people in my life. Being in her garden helped me understand the world of plants and animals and her loving and gentle nature gave me my idea of the purpose of life. ( Read more... )

I feel that's the most accurate description of it ever.

Don't you just love that it was one of the inspirations for Avatar? Makes me view certain scenes in a very different context than I would have not knowing it.

LIKE WATERBENDING PRACTISE??

I especially love how it was meant as a vacation for the people whose brains were hurting from working on Evangelion and Anno Hideaki's only contribution was the voice of a non-anthropomorphic cat.
