Chickpea flour is also known as besan flour. I know they sell it at the Asian Grocery at the Vic Market.

I was about to comment saying it's usually sold as besan flour. Definitely try to find an Indian grocery, otherwise a big Asian grocery. If you're lucky you might find it at Coles or Safeway, either in the Asian/Indian food section or the health food aisle.

Almond paste I have no idea but I'd try looking either at the Vic Market or possibly David Jones Food Hall.

Actually, thinking about it, you *might* be able to find almond paste at an Asian grocery. I found chestnut paste in the one in Heffernan Lane, just off Chinatown.

Is that the grocery store next to a bunch of clothing stores?

Besan is available at most coles supermarkets in the health food section.

hit enter too soon - almond paste is also sold by the box at coles in the cake aisle - from memory the box is purple and white. If not, the only place i used to get it apart from this was fresh from Borgs cake shop opposite Westona Station. Good luck.

I think I've seen those boxes, but they were marzipan, not almond paste?

Thanks, I might have to give the cake shop a try.

Pretty sure its almond paste. I do use it under icing. Marzipan is packaged in rolls from what I have seen. Hope you find it all anyway

Yep it's almond flavoured paste. Made by Orchard and it's a purple and white box.
As to white mini marshmallows, you might want to try an American food shop. Or you're just going to have to pick the pink ones out and make rocky road :)

Can't you just get someone else or the dog to eat the pink ones?

I could, but the packets that they come in are already so small, I'd hate to have to buy double of what I need each time and then still have to pick out all the pink ones.
