hit enter too soon - almond paste is also sold by the box at coles in the cake aisle - from memory the box is purple and white. If not, the only place i used to get it apart from this was fresh from Borgs cake shop opposite Westona Station. Good luck.

I think I've seen those boxes, but they were marzipan, not almond paste?

Thanks, I might have to give the cake shop a try.

Pretty sure its almond paste. I do use it under icing. Marzipan is packaged in rolls from what I have seen. Hope you find it all anyway

Yep it's almond flavoured paste. Made by Orchard and it's a purple and white box.
As to white mini marshmallows, you might want to try an American food shop. Or you're just going to have to pick the pink ones out and make rocky road :)

Do you have any american food shop to recommend? The only one I know is usafoods.

Haha. If the packets of mini marshmallows werent so tiny to begin with, I might actually do that.

usafoods is the only one I could see that had them (but they're out of stock) Kraft in America make them they're called "something" Puff marshmallows. You're using them to make fondant??? You can also get the pink/white mix in 4kg bags from bulk food places.

Yeah, I want to try making fondant, but also had this idea to make mini smores tart, for which the topping would be a crapload of mini marshmallows bruleed.

I'll have to look into bulk food places for sure.
