... I can't watch Cuddy anymore without imagining her naked with Alan Shore.

This is a problem? How?

AS of this episode, actually, I'm nearly convinced that she's carrying Wilson's kid after all. . .Wilson and Alan would so not get along at *all*. It would be like oil and napalm.

It would be AWESOME.

*That's* a plot bunny that wouldn't get jossed with aliens! Yesss.

I am unfamiliar with "joss" as a verb. Does it mean to make incredibly awesome? 'cause that's what my best guess would be.

Jossed: to have your fanfiction idea or pet theory violently and cruelly rendered uncanonical by the tyrannical whims of your show's writers.

Before I got into Buffy I used to think it had to do with the Scrabble dictionary meaning of Joss - we burn incense and pray before the shining idol not to make our lives meaningless! But alas it is an empty prayer.

Interesting. So how do aliens invalidate your House fic?

Because they all had aliens in them already! And now the show is going to do aliens, and do them differently, and where will I be left?

I also thought it was rather, um, X-Filesy. Chips in the neck and kids floating horizontally out the window? Anyone? Bueller?

Hey, the first thing I ever tried to write for house was an XF crossover. The alien implants just make it ... more so.

They've been pretty clever doing the preview cuts. I suspect the abduction scene was a flashback which will be used for fleshing out the plot. And the alien dna can easily be rationalized as a House joke "well, it's bacterial dna, so of course it's alien as far as young Henry William McMulder is concerned"

Well, but even if they make a joke of it as play it off as *obviously* not real -it'll suddenly be canonical that House doesn't believe in aliens. :(
