I am unfamiliar with "joss" as a verb. Does it mean to make incredibly awesome? 'cause that's what my best guess would be.

Before I got into Buffy I used to think it had to do with the Scrabble dictionary meaning of Joss - we burn incense and pray before the shining idol not to make our lives meaningless! But alas it is an empty prayer.

Because they all had aliens in them already! And now the show is going to do aliens, and do them differently, and where will I be left?
