Having a great visit thus far even though both Hubbyfink and I are are burnt to respective crisps thanks to extended soaking in the pool this morning. Mom bought a ping pong table this afternoon (she woke up with a craving for one... I usually wake up simply craving doughnuts) and Johnny spent this evening soundly spanking all of us at table tennis

Last night I dreamed I was sun burned. Oooo,and you actually are! Glad to hear you guys are having fun. My mom went out to buy a dress at Sears once and came home with furniture for the living and dining rooms. Maybe it's a mom thing. :-)

Now, that's just wrong.

Why not make some mini-churros (I assume one could bake them on a cookie sheet, if deep-frying is too labor-intensive), and serve with a bowl of berry puree for dipping? That would (a) look more like a side of fries and ketchup; and (b) actually be edible. Win/Win!

It started back in 1997 when I had a pet rat named Pesto. I started calling him Pestoratfink. As more rats joined the family, they were affectionately called "finkies". Then I went on a Dilbert-esque naming spree: Basil the cat became Catfink, my boyfriend became Boyfriendfink, and the Jeep became Jeepfink. I don't have rats or that boyfriend or the Jeep anymore, but the fink remains a term of endearment in my little corner of the world.
