Almost back in the saddle

I FINALLY heard back from the nurse practitioner -- after multiple messages over three days -- and the x-rays showed no fractures. Dull surprise. She wants me to wear "post-op" shoes for two weeks, but seeing as how I've been hobbling around in flip flops for the past week I'm not going to worry about that. Speaking of shoes... A word to the wise - since you have a soft-tissue injury, pleasepleasePLEASE stay off of the platforms for at least a month, perhaps 2-3. You don't want to permanently screw up your foot.

That was mostly for comedic purpose. I am a hazard to myself on platforms. :)

Since you're trying to get through the books before seeing the last movie... take heart: OotP is by far the worst edited of all the HP books. I know a lot of folks don't much care for Book Six ("the Half-Baked Plot" is a common slur-name) but the editing actually improved. So hang in there. Also, *please* read Book 7 before seeing the last movie. I think it makes more sense that way. (I also far prefer the climactic sequence the way the book has it; everyone sees what happens instead of it occurring away from all others. Also, the book's scene is monologuey, yes, but the movie's scene is confusing. JMO.)
