What is this shit I don't even

...Seriously. This supposedly started out with parents-to-be tweeting sweet sappy things like "I'll always protect you", and now there's this flood of... utter asshattery.

Trigger warning, homophobic jerks )

angry mel is angry, state of the mel

Ok, I don't usually reply to those things because they tick me off so badly, but I did.

I wish that the children of those fear-mongers would end up with parents like my friends, two of whom are in a loving homosexual relationship, and two of the biggest sweethearts I've ever known. They do not deserve to grown in fear and hate like that. I hope that any children born into families like that can find love and affection somewhere, since it obviously isn't going to come from the donors.

Seriously, anyone, and I mean ANYONE, tries to f*** with my family, blood or adopted, you will get front-center seats to how I earned my nickname. To quote a friend "She's [me] one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, until you piss her off."

Important note here, guys; if you would get in trouble for doing something, it's not a good subject for a joke. If someone would be hurt, it's not a good subject for a joke. If someone - anyone - who heard you and thought you were serious would be frightened, it's not a good subject for a fucking JOKE.

This, this, so much this! And they do not get to squirm out of the consequences of their revolting displays of troglodyte-ism by waving "joke" around.

look, just give up any children you have already for adoption and then go get sterilised, okay?

A-bloody-men. Because, seriously, anyone who puts something like that in a public forum that may conceivably be read by their current or theoretical offspring should be instantly disqualified as parents. My god, gay or not, what a terrifying thing to find out your parents actually wrote.

i have a bisexual son. he was not willing to tell either of us. then one day, he did. "mom, i like boys" me "okay" him: "no, mom, i LIKE boys. like LIKE-LIKE. like boyfriend like." me: "and?" then he laughed.

its a non-issue. you love who you love, and with my beastlyboy (and me) its more loving a PERSON than what type of body they happen to be walking around in.

What is this shit I don't even.

My sentiments exactly. Anyone who is inclined to say things that bigoted on twitter usually is incapable of emotions or logic much beyond the developmental level of a toddler throwing a shitfit.
