Even though our lives have moved on, we share a bond that can't be easily severed. The news of the death of one of our community, someone I laughed with and shared RL time with, as well as loved her (sometimes hilariously shocking) fics, who gave up much of her last few years to care for her family, has saddened and upset me. Rest in Peace dear Overnighter.

I was moved to stop by here too,mel. I remember how excited I'd get whenever overnighter would post. Whether she was writing fiction or about RL, I knewI'd be treated to gorgeous prose, all infused with the vitality of her personality, her wither compassion, her humanity. I spent only one night in her company, but I find myself missing her so much. I'll remember you with gratitude and love, overnighter, Chazper

I think I met overnighter the same time chazper did. What little I knew told me she was a talented, classy lady. Our long-ago tight little community all will miss her terribly.

This is the first time I've been on LJ since last week, and I just wanted to add to stop and say here too, how missed Overnighter will be. Even though we never got to meet in person, I got to know her better through social media these past few years, and my impression of her as a kind, loyal and considerate person only grew. What a sad loss for all of us.
