I knew I should have called in sick....

It was my first full day in my new job, though and I wanted to make a good impression. Not that it mattered. My supervisor wasn't there. I got quite a bit done in the morning. After lunch was where it started getting dicey: I already had been feeling nauseous when I woke up, so after about fifteen minutes up, I went back to bed for 45 minutes and ( Read more... )

Thanks.

According to my First Aid/CPR-C training, fainting is not an "emergency" unless one is pregnant or has been diagnosed already with an Illness of Doom.

The last time I fainted (many years ago) I had the stomach flu and it seems to be what I have now, thank goodness.

Pregnancy, I hear, is also not a good thing to happen to one.

Haha! Pregnancy is pretty impossible right now, except by immaculate conception and I'm not sure I'm sinless enough for that! Or sinful enough, if we're talking about the gods of party time... :D

Oh good, the copy room floor didn't eat my sense of humour!

Oh no. You must be having a nasty bout of stomach flu. Have plenty of rest and get well soon!

No, this is not a failure, but it might make a very memorable first-day-on-the-job for everyone involved.

Hugs for you!

While I admire your troupership in making sure the fax when through once it would *finally* feed... please don't do that again. When sick in fax room, pls exit fax room ASAP.

I haven't had that many jobs, but I've blown some interviews pretty impressively. Once I slagged on a kid from junior high *and* his parents, and then discovered he was the interviewer's nephew...
