Confirmed something yesterday that I had previously suspected. Job2 used to be on a list of off-route stops that a person could request when taking Bus Route 3. I say, "used to be," because Job2 was taken off that list less than a year ago, and no one I know uses the new schedules.

Now, Job2 is off of Broad St, one of the more major arteries, by a ( Read more... )

I found the walk light at Wascana and Kramer equally annoying.

Whatever virus that intersection had was contagious. Nearly all intersections downtown, the one at Wascana and Grant, and the ones in the west all have the same disease.

Your schedule on some of those days is insane, especially the 21st and 26th. How far apart are the two jobs, and can you safely get from one to the other in time?

Would it perhaps be possible/practical to take a collapsible bike or small motor scooter on the bus? i.e. make it quicker/easier to follow the access road than run through snowbanks

Some of the ladies I work with at Job1 work their primary jobs from 4 or 6 in the morning til the afternoon and then five to nine at night. And I can get to job one from two fairly safely. I just need to get to Broad, catch the 3, then ride to the liquor store, wait at that stop for the 8 and then I can get let off a block from Job2. I am looking at my availability for March, though, and I'll be putting my end time there for 3:30 instead of 4 for days I have Job1

Honestly? Bikes and scooters are probably the most stolen items in this city now that the oldsmobiles aren't really targets anymore. I'm not buying or rebuilding a bike until that changes.

As for running through the snowbanks? It's good exercise, so I'll keep it.
