Holy damn, it's over? What is this?
EXPLANATION
My full explanation for this can be found on my post from last year, which is
here. The condensed version is, I would try to write something every day for the month of November, as long as it was 100 words or more. This year I kind of strayed from last year's subject of getting Ryan Ross laid, but I stuck to every piece being about him in some way.
The pieces ended up ranging in size from 118 words to 1,647. They can all be read as standalones, although some I may write more of. PLEASE pay attention to the headers/summaries/prompts for each fic as some have warnings for any potentially squicky/offensive content. Read at your own risk.
AUTHOR'S NOTE
Fuck, time sure as hell flies, don't it? My days have started to run together, and that's not just from this challenge. College is fucking ridiculous.
After telling myself last year I'd do this again this year, even if I was up to my ears in college work (by the way, I actually said that last year, go look), I completely forgot about it until the night of Halloween! I had been gathering some prompts over the year, but I never really paid a whole lot of attention to it until it was right on my head. Ugh. /o\ So I'd just like to again thank everyone that got on the ball so fast and gave me prompts.
Other than that, this year has been both easier and harder than last year. Last year, I had so much shit going on at home that I just… bah. But, I strangely had a lot more time to write, considering I wrote during class and lunch and whatnot. This year, sure, I've got schoolwork to do, but my social life is kind of lacking unless it's Tuesday or Wednesday night (woo, By the Bi and GLAD meetings!), so I've been feeling super lonely and procrastinating like a mofo. Along with feeling lonely comes me being uninspired, so I've been writing less each day this year than last. Also, now that I'm exclusively using my laptop to write, I don't get a lot done during class or lunch (but that's mostly because I'm actually EATING during lunch).
Thanksgiving was a wash, even more so than previous years. Okay, so I got to see family, whoop-dee-doo. I can see my grandparents any weekend I want to. I can also see my aunt and uncle any weekend I want. It's not so exciting when you live so close. Although, I did kind of jump up to hug my dad when he walked in the door, mostly because he's the one I haven't seen in the longest amount of time (a grand total of what, a month now? Oh dear. However shall I survive.) The break was nice though, which I spent mostly at my mother's place babysitting the hyperactive kitten that I REALLY want to name Brendon sometimes (Johnny named him Frick before I could give him a real name). He likes to cuddle and be annoying. And he keeps trying to eat my fingers. We think he's teething.
Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy this year's pieces just as much as last year's (if not more!), and don't be afraid to ask for sequels. <3
PS. Who thinks I should do NaNoBDen, NaNoJWalk, or NaNoSpenSmith next year? (Who thinks I should come up with a better name for all of this?) Who thinks I should just call it NaNoRyRo regardless? Leave me your thoughts!
