2. have you read the awesome awesome awesome sequel to the university fic where Arthur goes to meet Eames' family? OH MY GODDD.

3. ALL TROPES ARE IN MY HEART. i love cliche. but especially highschool AUs. high school AUs oh my god.

2. YES OF COURSE I HAVE. She has a sequel after that one too! All of them are bookmarked in my delicious. :D All off them stolen from Aja's bookmarks because oh my god I have fallen out of keeping up with this fandom so hard...

3. I think I love university/college AUs better just because they are older! And less dumb! And there is so much ridiculous shit they can do, being "independent" and not living at home, usually, and hahaha oh my god so much drinking and legal sex! Though I have to concede that there is nothing quite like teenaged boys jerking off/having wet dreams in high school AUs because of the tantalizing sort of shame/secret/self-realization that just not the same when they're older. :3

IDK, i think it's mostly like how in teen movies everyone is played by 21 year olds. like, in real life 17 year old boys are repellent and moronic, but in fiction (because the high school trope is basically a total myth) it just fills me with adoration. like the whole Taylor Swift universe thing that shows up in every fandom everywhere. people do not act like that but i still lovveeee ittt.

lol, there was actually MORE drinking and sex in my social circle in high school than at uni. maybe that's why i don't like uni college stories as much... it's unfamiliar because my uni was totally non campus based and was basically just somewhere i went to class for a few hours every week and nothing else.

p.s. i know right? you leave fandom for a few days and it is TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO CATCH UP. so many fics to read! fffff why are people so prolific.

hahah seriously, 17 year olds irl are sort of terrible but I agree, they are a lot of fun in fiction. That being said: how does this fandom not yet have a You Belong to Me MV AU? High school Arthur and Eames who are neighbors and write each other messages through their windows and are in different social circles in school but are still friends!! And then the prom. And...I don't know how the ~magical Cinderella transformation~ will work; maybe Arthur will finally clean up his geekiness and put on a suit and Eames will be floored. 8D

It's so interesting to see how everyone's high school/college experiences vary. :O

OH, IS THERE AN OFFICE AU YET? They work in cubicles and Eames leaves annoying post-its on Arthur's computer and maybe someone is in IT and someone else always gets a virus and-- I have so many ideas I want other people to write haha.

My favorite tropes are Highschool and College AUs. THERE ARE NEVER ENOUGH. :D

Oh my god, I just had a thought: I want college AU with pretend boyfriends. ...while one works at a coffeeshop and the other is a hooker? LET'S JAM AS MANY TROPES INTO ONE FIC AS POSSIBLE.

OH GOD, I. I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW THAT WOULD WORK. BUT I WANT IT.

I WANT IT SO MUCH.

I think I have now tricked myself into wanting to write this but I also have no idea how this would work??

Damn you, brain. I was thinking of a celebrity/paparazzi AU. :(

It's obviously because they hate us and want to spite us. :( UGH, WE'LL TAKE WHATEVER WINS WE CAN GET, EVEN IF THEY ARE UGLY. I'm pretty sure that's how I felt about the last few times Liverpool won anything haha. I am totally dreading/anticipating the match against Man Utd though...

OH CAN WE HATE THEM TOGETHER, PLEASE? :D Because sadly most of my other football friends online are all Man Utd fans. How did this happen?

TOM HARDY GGGUHHHHH. For your birthday, Mr. Hardy, you get incoherence from me.

The one fandom trope that I never get sick of is fuck buddies who then fall in love (or people who were in love already but act as fuck buddies because they don't know of each other's ~feelings). Omg, I'm getting tingly just thinking about it. :D

Hahaha, I had to read the waistcoast thing twice before I even noticed what was wrong with it. *headddesk*

OH HAPPINESS AND JOY! Is it AU or non-AU? :D

I'm attempting to make it non-AU, like an Eames-and-Arthur-meet-and-share-casual-sex-through-the-years-type thing, where they've been in love for years but Arthur is thoroughly convinced Eames just thinks of him as a fuck buddy and then, idk, THERE IS JEALOUSY AND STUFF AND THEN SOMEONE NEARLY DIES??

I seriously cannot have too many fake boyfriend AUs. OR ARRANGED MARRIAGES. I think it's all the Harlequin novels I read as a tween. /o\

ME TOO, ME TOO. I am actually reading Georgette Heyer right now so I'm all OH MY GOD REGENCY GLEE but it's even worse because in this book there are identical twin brothers and one is taking the other one's place and all I can think of is the horrible influence fandom has been on me and sort of pine fruitlessly for the twins to maybe make out a little... orz

I know I will not get that, but I will at least get the first twin's betrothed falling in love with the second, masquerading twin!
