2. YES OF COURSE I HAVE. She has a sequel after that one too! All of them are bookmarked in my delicious. :D All off them stolen from Aja's bookmarks because oh my god I have fallen out of keeping up with this fandom so hard...

3. I think I love university/college AUs better just because they are older! And less dumb! And there is so much ridiculous shit they can do, being "independent" and not living at home, usually, and hahaha oh my god so much drinking and legal sex! Though I have to concede that there is nothing quite like teenaged boys jerking off/having wet dreams in high school AUs because of the tantalizing sort of shame/secret/self-realization that just not the same when they're older. :3

IDK, i think it's mostly like how in teen movies everyone is played by 21 year olds. like, in real life 17 year old boys are repellent and moronic, but in fiction (because the high school trope is basically a total myth) it just fills me with adoration. like the whole Taylor Swift universe thing that shows up in every fandom everywhere. people do not act like that but i still lovveeee ittt.

lol, there was actually MORE drinking and sex in my social circle in high school than at uni. maybe that's why i don't like uni college stories as much... it's unfamiliar because my uni was totally non campus based and was basically just somewhere i went to class for a few hours every week and nothing else.

p.s. i know right? you leave fandom for a few days and it is TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO CATCH UP. so many fics to read! fffff why are people so prolific.

hahah seriously, 17 year olds irl are sort of terrible but I agree, they are a lot of fun in fiction. That being said: how does this fandom not yet have a You Belong to Me MV AU? High school Arthur and Eames who are neighbors and write each other messages through their windows and are in different social circles in school but are still friends!! And then the prom. And...I don't know how the ~magical Cinderella transformation~ will work; maybe Arthur will finally clean up his geekiness and put on a suit and Eames will be floored. 8D

It's so interesting to see how everyone's high school/college experiences vary. :O

OH, IS THERE AN OFFICE AU YET? They work in cubicles and Eames leaves annoying post-its on Arthur's computer and maybe someone is in IT and someone else always gets a virus and-- I have so many ideas I want other people to write haha.

there is an office AU, yes, and everyone loved it apart from me. :) i bet it's on reclists! i think it got favourited quite a lot on delicious around the 1st-3rd kinkmeme, maybe?

MEI DO NOT TALK ABOUT THE "YOU BELONG WITH ME" AU. because then someone else will steal it from me. *clutches fic selfishly to chest* i am writing it! or i was a month ago before i got distracted by writing about 11 other fics. (actually this is quite sad because other people could probably write it a lot better than me) oh my god now i have to go write that shit or something before someone steals it from me! except i already wrote over 2500 words today, ugh.

ahhhhhhhhh I remember reading one office AU but it was short and mostly porny and no full of office shenanigans. :( Is that the one you're talking about? Or do I have to go hunt, oh no don't make me do that. .__. This fandom is too big.

THOSE TWO FICS ARE NOT VERY GOOD. i wrote them both in the same day, basically, but with a gap for sleep in the middle? that is quantity, not quality!

wasn't there an office AU that was quite long and not porny? i didn't like it because i don't like office AUs, so i don't remember it. but i think it was pretty well written?

haha, no, sadly it is not a long wip. i just wrote some aaages ago and forgot about it amongst the epic pile of other fics. the 2500 words i was talking about was a different fic that i posted on my lj... basically i think i am writing too much and sure i'll like, totally run out of ideas/skills any second now.

She sighs. ‘It’s probably going to be just the same as your old school, except with a sillier academic testing system and no cricket.’

‘’What do you think of my new accent?’ he asks, ignoring her. He’s cultivated a ludicrously posh accent for maximum style and panache when he first appears at his new school. Arthur is lying in bed in his pyjama bottoms, checking over his chemistry homework when he notices movement out of the corner of his eye and realises it’s the mysterious Eames kid. Well, shit. Arthur really needs to either start wearing a shirt to bed or closing the curtains now because Eames has seen his naked torso before they’ve even been formally introduced. Eames has short brown hair and is wearing a hideous Ed Hardy-esque t-shirt and a smirk. He waves to Arthur, who musters enough social enthusiasm to wave back before twitching his curtains closed.

Eames shows up at school the next day, of course. Arthur takes an instant dislike to him because Eames somehow manages to look good in the school’s foul dress code. Dress code is the bane of Arthur’s school career. All he wants is to look smart and neat, which you’d think would conform nicely with any school’s demands, but instead everyone has to wear pastel polo-shirts and jeans to school, the logic being that if everyone looks the same there will be less bullying, and this is the ( ... )

It’s a college town, meaning there are a lot of bars and they all check for ID obsessively. It is the quest of most of Arthur’s peers to get into one of the college bars and get a taste of adult freedom (which turns out to taste surprisingly similar to cheap American beer ( ... )
