Wait. Why would you ever need to be on call? Don't you code stuff? How did you get stuck doing this?

We have on call programmers every night because our customers are hospitals and if something breaks it could be really bad. The whole on call thing actually works great for me usually because I sign up for weekdays...on weekdays we have a third shift now...so when I'm on call on weekdays I get paid 100 to sleep. But covering holidays is a little harder and somebody gets the short straw, usually your safe if you have signed up for days, but not always.
