Gradually emerging from the undertow and feeling a bit cheerier. The older you get, the slower you are at adapting to change and it has taken me some time to orient myself in the ever-shifting work environment with its non-stop demands. The vision of life is balancing up again, thank goodness.

What a lovely and sad poem. Sorry that your shoulder is ouching and you have work upheaval. May I put those issues on the prayer list? Life has been crazy here but I should be posting more in the near future.

Thanks for the offer of the prayers. I will say a big YES for help on the work problems. The bone spur in the shoulder joint will take time to get sorted, so I can work with it as a spiritual issue. As always your kindness is greatly appreciated.
I just loved the poem. When the author was reciting it, there was this wonderful rhythm and images of flying colour. Such a sad story but also a celebration of a fine culture as well. Glad you liked it. I know you are a bit of a poet yourself!

Thanks for the poem - I'm off into my day with visions of piles of brightly coloured rugs and a taste for mint tea :)

It's good you work with someone that is like minded. If you can't change the world between you, at least you can moan together!
I loved Stephen Fry's Wilde. I love Stephen Fry, he's so clever and talented funny and yet struggles with bi-polar depression. I do feel for him.
Hope you enjoyed the Merchant of Venice.

Merchant was a peaceful and enjoyable night out. The weather was superb for open air theatre - a big moon hanging low in the sky and a balmy temperature. Whilst it is not one of my favourite Shakespeare plays, the cast did a creditable job. We had a gentle stroll back from the University in the evening air.
