As of today, I'm not going to grad school.  Because 1) It's hard for me to spend my entire life savings on grad school.  Plus moving expenses and apartment expenses and all those other expenses and probably not being able to work; 2) I'm not feeling so confident about my upcoming GRE.  Why oh why is it so freaking hard?! and 3) I have no freaking ( Read more... )

Well, school will always be there. If expenses are an issue, take the time to save up now. Wait until you're sure you know what you want in grad school. Until then, you can always take classes here and there, to explore your options. I know you're interested in writing, I'm sure there must be programs (not grad programs... perhaps smaller workshops or something) that can give you a taste of it. That way, you can tell if it's something you can see yourself doing, and if not, it might give you insight into what you want to do, or lead you to a different aspect of writing (i.e., editing, technical writing, publication, e.t.c) you might find yourself interested in.
