disciplining woes

I hate disciplining my child. I mean, as my husband just said when I said that to him "why? you usually make me do it" lol True, but I still feel bad. Like earlier tonight he hit me and pushed me so I put him in time out. Just remember - disciplining him will give him better willpower in the future. Providing kids with firm boundaries gives them a framework around which to build their lives. A sense of what to do and what not to do. Just like learning language, it's a whole lot more difficult to learn self-discipline when you're older. You're doing this for him, not for you. He just wants what he wants and knows that crying might get it for him. Keep it up! He'll learn!
