Long absence from LJ

I don't have time for a long post today, but the last two months have been rather significant, and I should post SOMETHING. For over a month I couldn't even sit at the computer and making a post from my phone is possible but a real exercise in frustration. So...the short version

I wish we lived on a street with a lot of kids Rebekah's age.

When we moved here there was just Nadia. Some kids moved in, others finally got old enough this summer to be able to play semi-unsupervised outside.

Yeah, but you live on a real street in a real neighborhood. We live on the Autobahn in the middle of nowhere.

Well, sort of. We live on a long cul-de-sac that is only connected to other cul-de-sacs by a similar Autobahn. None of these kids can safely leave our street on these bikes. Also, while we are technically part of a neighborhood called Old Creek West, I have no idea what its boundaries are--maybe just the four cul-de-sacs? Maybe also the couple roads a little way down on the other side of the busy road? No clue...we don't even have a neighborhood sign.

I know you've got other kids not too far from you on your street. When they get old enough they can run from yard to yard to play with each other.

Hopefully, you're on the mend. I am...intensely angry on your behalf that you had to wait 5 weeks to get an MRI. I suppose that suing is out of the question? That is seriously effed up.
