Crossing Guard

Fifth grade started at a new school, a prgressive new idea new school. In that "new math" way, this grade school was supposed to be the wave of the future. I've never seen another built like it. But then, non child bearing, non teachers, how much do we see the inside of a grade school anyway

That's a great memory. My fourth and fifth grade were in a giant round area together, although we were not a pod. Must have been an education "thing" that year.

Retired folk are crossing guards now. I suppose I should put that on my list of Volunteer Work one does after age 72. :-)
