apparently, i'm the only one who takes joy in other people's misery. everyone i tell about the this american life episode is slightly weirded out. but man, phil collins is so catchy! and against all odds has never made me smile before.

i'm slugging through a book about a yiddish detective and it's not as gripping as i had hoped.

i don't know why i found this so amusing. but i really really did.

p.s. there's a pretty good chance that link won't work, but it's basically an episode of this american life from two weeks ago. which really cheered up my commute to work this morning. even though it shoudn't have at all.
