Lovers eps 8-20(the end)

Jan 13, 2008 01:11

Despite the fact that a giant chunk of the last episode seemed like unneccessary dragging to fill up an hour of angst(which, frankly, is the case with every modern kdrama I've seen, so I'm not holding that against it) this remained good to the end, even though I called most plot developments well in advance.  It had every element of kdramas that I ( Read more... )

Okay, I'm confused now. I get that Kang Jae and Yu Jin stay together for the sake of the baby. What happens with Mi Joo? And Choi Yoon? I take it the other male gets to pick one of them?
All the while Mi Joo and Kang Jae still really love each other?

The appreciation for the ending I got, just not the clear details.

Since I love HEA in my romances I don't think I'll watch this.

Mi Joo and Kang Jae end up together. Yu Jin actually has a miscarriage. The drama has a happy ending.

I wanted the epilogue to show Yu Jin with a new, great boyfriend who didn't put his job before her. She deserved it. It was the sole problem I had with the ending.

Hmm, I wonder if you might enjoy I Really, Really Like You since it's definitely a romantic comedy with dramatic elements rather than the other way around. And the kdrama love triangles are completely turned inside-out. (The female lead spends 75% of the show in love with the secondary guy, you won't hate any of the secondary females, the drama avoids the typical cliches while misleading you to expect them & things end primarily happy for everyone. My lj posts on the series were mildy spoilery but not too much. I never did a closing post as I'm still planning to do an mv for the drama.)

"Hillbilly" Bong-soon (Eugene) saves a doctor's life (played by Ryu Jin) when he is found unconscious in the mountains near her house. What she doesn't know is that he is the President's son who has intentionally kept out of the public eye. Out of gratitude, he becomes her guardian when her grandmother passed away ( ... )

I can't wait to hear what you think of Lovers in Paris. I wanted to cosh the heroine over the head about once every 10 minutes.

yay! you finished it! i have to confess to being a little disappointed by the ending... i'm not sure what i wanted to happen, but i just somehow wanted more...

I do love that the protagonists are full grown men and women, with their worries and their problems in life...watching teenagers and 20-somethings bop their way through life gets a bit tiring after a while...

btw, what is that favourite comedy moment in Goong?

The problem with the ending is that the time jump was unneccessarily tacked on for no reason but to add angst, and seriously broke the flow.

Comedy moment in Goong is her wedding night fantasy about love scenes in period dramas.
