Supernatural 2.6: A Dean/Jo picspam

You know what?  I have decided that I am cursed, CURSED I say, when it comes to Jensen Ackles and shipping.  Dark Angel?  I started shipping Alec/Asha in the first ep of season 2 where he took her gun and went "nice..."  *long glance* "...gun" and then left while she stood there with a "what just happened?" look on her face, then I was absolutely ( Read more... )

Honestly? I think Jo is VERY well suited for Dean in terms of personality, and the actors have good chemistry, but even without the fans' hissy fit over a potential love interest, based on these eps, I doubt anything would have happened until at least season 3 if not 4 because of the setup (and the fact that the only person Dean WOULDN'T do anything with is someone he actually respects and cares about) and the age difference(though I'd put Jo at around 20 to Dean's...what? 26~? Not a major difference, really, once both are past 18. She's just little and cute.)

Dean's 26 at the beginning of the 1st season and is 28 now... Jo, I think, is something like 21-ish... There are somewhat-canon diaries somewhere online that I know I read where her age is confirmed, but I don't remember where... I saw them a while ago.

I like Jo too and I think "No Exit" is a great episode. Although, even in that episode, I didn't see any reason they would necessarily hook up... Dean is *really* scared of Ellen. LOL! I'm a slashy little fangirl, but like any good slashy little fangirl, I'm a master at denying and ignoring parts of canon that I don't want to acknowledge all in pursuit of whatever pairing's subtext I've latched onto. I'm kinda disappointed that TPTB have been non-committal about her returning anytime in the near future...

Well, I'm a canon nazi myself, and I've never really been into slash...or even seen the appeal, really. I have nothing against it though, and nothing against people who like it, as long as they don't start hating on female characters for being canon ( ... )

I liked Dean and Jo together, but I thought it was kind of funny how Dean admitted that he was scared of Ellen.

Yes. I love that they're both scared of Ellen. Seriously, Jo and Ellen are both great and are EXACTLY the kind of supporting cast I thought Supernatural needed in season 1...WHY CAN'T I KEEP THEM?????

Oh, I totally don't remember that Asha/Alec scene, but now I have a strong urge to find that episode and watch it. I shipped them so very, very much, and the way the show ignored them contributed largely to my disillusion with the show. Everything had to be about the OTP of Max/Logan, and nothing else ever got explored.

And Ashley Scott left the OTP of Asha/Alec to go be Huntress on the horrible, horrible "Birds of Prey" series. But, really, if "Dark Angel" has used her more wisely, she might not have left. Which probably wouldn't have saved us from the crappiness of BOP TV series, but still.

I miss Alec/Asha. :(

It was in the first ep of season 2, in Logan's apt, after Alec tells them about the poison. It's really, really short and I probably wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't absolutely in love with Alec already and was staring at him with no shame.

The problem I had with S2 was that there was too much "mutant of the week" stuff and by the time they were through with that, they didn't have much room for anything but Max/Logan. I also think getting rid of Lydecker so early and ambiguously was a very bad mistake.

I never saw the BoP series but kinda want to, as I really like Ashley Scott and Dina Meyer, but haven't seen either in much.

Oh, I really liked them together (after I overcame my initial reaction "look ,here is meg from veronica Mars").

I wish her Jo's character had more of screen time and I wish we had more Dean/Jo scenes!

I'm just really, really hoping Jo comes back...I completely love her character, Dean or no Dean. Dean/Jo scenes are just a nice bonus!
