Because the episode (after a scene w/ the Liao camp) starts in almost the most awful way it possibly could, with Guan Hong riding to the battlefield to find Wu Lang (sadly, she's simply not suited to be a general's wife, much as they love each other...she can't handle the pain of watching him ride

I wonder if it would be worse if you didn't know coming in how the drama ends. I mean, the battle episodes are actually really, really intense and good. But I knew what was going to happen so I dreaded them more than I enjoyed them, which sucks. Oh well. There's always the flying face kick to think fondly of.
