So, yesterday I posted a short scene of shippyness. Today it's a volume's worth(well, pieces of it) of near-love confessions, incredibly evil things that should not happen to halves of OTPs and much angst(including Kyo's own special kind of angst) There's also a fair bit of body-snatching. Btw, finished first vol of Basara and while I am not in love with it, it's interesting. It's rather densely plotted. The art is a huge drawback, very early 90s and thus huge hair and much more busy backgrounds than I like. If it was the same story but with Yu Watase art, I'd be a babbling goner.
As it is, I like it and will continue reading it. Hopefully the story will be good enough to compensate for the lacking art (Shuri has potential. I can sense deep reserves of potential aaaangst :D)

I was about the same the first few volume of Basara. I think it was around vol 4-5 that I went nuts about it. The plot is a little too dense at times, but it has to be dense to make an OTP like that work.
"deep reserves of potential aaaangst" is an understatement.

What, you don't think that Sasuke-kun was exposed to normal female influences while he was part of Yukimura's merry band? What are Kosuke and Kamanosuke - chopped liver? (OK, Kosuke looks just like her boss and Kamanosuke likes to cook bear stew with whole bears in it ... c'mon, they're still women!)
;-)
(I see you're doing you're part to get more people to read SDK!)

And yes, I am. I've always recced SDK to people if I thought they'd like it, but vol 21 gave me many times the love for some reason(I don't know why, but I think it was when Hotaru caught up with the gang, and then flicked Kyo in the head) and then reading up on future events made me go nuts.

at the love_deeper community, everyone-no matter what they shipped-was screaming and hyperventilating over this(and wondering why kyo never just said "get your *bleeping* hands off my woman and give her back! mine!")
