I was not happy about Sonya either because she's one of my favourite characters.
I really appreciated how Kiera realised that she might not be on the right side and that Liber8's message was not wrong even though their actions were. Few shows manage to reach this level of greyness.
I had no idea an additional season was not a sure thing. I hope there'll be more.
I think Kiera spent the first 2 seasons in the position where she subconsciously agreed and sympathized with Liber8s goals, but they were so opposed to what she SHOULD believe, and represented such a challenge to her comfort and safety zones that she wasn't aware of it at all.
I think Sonja is one of everyone's top few characters.
