Avatar: The Legend of Korra 1.6-1.7: Pretty good episodes. Pretty sure I'm in the minority regarding Tahno (don't care for him) but I lie the overall plot more and moreand how Amon is legitimately creepy and scary. Love all the flashbacks to the characters from the first series as adults, and hope we get more of those.

I...am actually kind of disappointed that Asami is completely anti-equalist? We need someone who agrees with the core sentiment of the Equalists (that benders have too much social and political power) while disapproving of their methods.

I agree completely, actually. I really want a likable equalist, and I think Asami would have been a compelling candidate. If she'd sided with her father -- or even shown some signs of sympathizing with a less extreme version of equalist views -- I know it would have ultimately been the Wrong Choice and all that, but pretty understandable, in a sort of Zuko-esque way (because while she obviously cares about Mako & co., this is family), and I think it would have been interesting seeing her develop from that point, letting her deal with the (entirely legit!) internal conflict and all that jazz. Alas.

Well, her father was pretty clearly involved in the violent aspect of the Equalists, so I get the instinctive rejection there, but I hope she gets into it with one of the umpteen benders she lives with over something they ake for granted that's disadvantageous to nonbenders. Pema can join in.

The whole "she doesn't like you because I dumped her" really pissed me off. The creators better not roll with that as the actual reason but I'm disinclined to trust them when it comes to anything romantic. I do like seeing more of Lin and Korra working together.

Totally agree that the Once finale should have been longer. I was sad that Emma and MM didn't interact even once in the last ep. Pretty sure MM would have waited at the hospital for Emma after Henry "died." The Emma/Regina team up and the acting those two ladies did was fantastic though imo. Loved the dragon/Maleficent stuff. :D

I didn't want her to be an Equalist because of how clichéd it is, but I would prefer a more nuanced look at the conflict other than little crumbs suggesting the privileges given to benders while emphasizing all the harm the Equalists cause.
