Howl. I loved it so much that I still can't watch the Ghibli version without cringing inside. I'd imprinted on that book so early that anything less than a completely faithful adaption was never going to make me happy. In many ways, I identified so much with Sophie.

Seriously, though, The Tough Guide to Fantasyland sounds pretty fun. Also sounds like a print version of tvtropes. *adds to to-buy list*
