Thank very, very much to all the kind folks who have stuck with this story, reading and reviewing through all its odd little twists and turns. It was fun to write, even the heavy parts, and I hope it was as fun to read, in spite of the heavy parts. :D Now, to go off and consider a piece of total silliness, just for a change of pace and a bit of a

Probably the thing I love most about Megamind is the way he tries SO HARD at everything he does, no matter what it is. Case in point, here he is, new defender of the city, and he's going all out to make amends for his past transgressions, in every way he possibly can. I can absolutely see this being true. I love that he so sincerely wants to compensate Roxanne for all the times he kidnapped her. And that he's richer than Wayne, and came into it all on his own, and yet seems to be completely clueless as to why that's such a Big Deal. (And once again, he receives no public recognition for his CONTRIBUTIONS to society; I'm sure Roxanne'll fix that.)
And the laundry line! Wraps things up nicely. Although I'm very curious as to how Roxanne would react to seeing the real Bernard again, especially this soon after everything's calmed down. XD
Another wonderful ending to another of your wonderful stories. I'm excited to see what new fun you have in store for us next, whatever it may be! ♥

Even though I hadn't initially intended to use the Bernard moment (thank you, Dementia!), I've always thought that the only thing that would've kept Bernard from totally freaking out would've been Roxanne's presence. How SHE feels about it... Oh, I imagine she has a lecture for Blue a bit stronger than Minion's admonishment about emptying his pockets! XD
There's always a bittersweet feeling at the end of a story, for both author and reader - though I've started the next. We'll just have to see how it develops....

I understand what you mean about typical fanfic being short and fast and to the point (with the exception of the meandering ones that never seem to GET to the point). I suppose that the reason my style is different is that I didn't start writing with fanfic; I'd been writing original novels for nearly a decade before I even tried my hand at fan fiction. So when I gave up my original stuff because of changes in the publishing industry and started writing fanfic, I just continued in the same ways and merely applied them to different genres. It's easier on my brain, that way. :D
And yes, there will be more coming. Stay tuned!
