Thank very, very much to all the kind folks who have stuck with this story, reading and reviewing through all its odd little twists and turns.  It was fun to write, even the heavy parts, and I hope it was as fun to read, in spite of the heavy parts. :D  Now, to go off and consider a piece of total silliness, just for a change of pace and a bit of a

Oh, my, my, my...! I do know about needing something to help one get out of bed at ungodly hours, so you have my sympathies there, and I'm honored to have been able provide that for a little while. (My poor hubby has your schedule and job these days. I went through that back in college, when for two sold years I had to get up at about the same time to walk a mile to the bus stop to catch a very slow bus that would take nearly two hours to get to the university just in time for me to sit through two hours of one of the most boring but required BFA courses in creation, music theory. To this day, I despise having to get up to an alarm clock. Especially in winter.)

My sister is in full agreement with you concerning Roxanne's fortunate choice of a guy; she's been wanting what she describes as a sensitive guy with a tool belt and a bank account after two lousy marriages. Now, about the hot part... Hm, that depends on how hot we're talking. I am horrible when it comes to anything really explicit, but the next thing I have in mind could get a mite...steamy. Remember, we're talking 57 year old worn out bod, here. My poor heart can only take so much. ;D But...one never knows. XD

I feel your pain, believe me. My bod's not far behind yours in terms of years and wear and tear; in fact, I might have you outdone in the later dept.
Your sister and I have the same taste in men, apparently. It's one thing for a guy to be sensitive and financially secure, but since I'm an old country gal, raised in the South on traditional work ethics, if he can't change the oil in a car and tackle most fixer-upper jobs around the house, I don't have too much use for him...which probably explains why I'm still single, lol. Most guys I've known can't change a light bulb, seriously, let alone overhaul a car engine. AND, being that I'm sort of an old "biker chick" who is totally into classic cars, that's yet another reason for me to consider Roxanne the luckiest woman on the planet to have reeled in THAT particular "catch"-he drives a freakin' HUDSON, plus a vehicle that's a cross between a '50 Studebaker, a Harley Davidson and a WWII Studebaker P-38, AND he's into reptiles(the crocs; and no, they're still not alligators)and sharks! That would be like my absolute Dream Guy, right there!

Don't worry about the "steam" factor too much. To me, there is a distinct line between "erotica" and "porn". It doesnt' have to be extremely explicit to be hot. Most of us here have enough imagination to fill in the blanks, if you know what I mean! But yeah, I'd love to see something go beyond just "fluff", something that really digs into the emotions and feelings behind the physical actions. Any two people can have totally hot sex, but geniune love-making, well, that's a bit of a different ball game, at least from my perspective.
