Townie names! (For subhood templates.)

As I've mentioned before, when you add a neighbourhood as a subhood (shopping district, downtown or university), any townies and NPCs in that 'hood get their names randomized. Very annoying when you want to add Pleasantview and suddenly Meadow Thayer isn't Meadow Thayer anymore

Just out of curiously, what happens with Strangetown townies? I mean, all the other ones (like Mathew Howe). They aren't in the uberhood I have, and for the picture I see they aren't in yours either. It's there's something technically wrong with them? or just got cleaned up? (Honestly, I sort of miss them! XD I think those are the only townies I ever got used to ROFL)

Nothing wrong with them. :) I got rid of them simply because I couldn't keep all the townies in all the neighbourhoods when making the uberhood. It's already got a lot of characters, and with so many townies and NPCs it'd be huge! But I kept the Pleasantview townies around since those are who most people are familiar with. Now I kind of regret not keeping versions of the other 'hoods with the townies still around, but I didn't predict that I'd be making those subhood templates at that time.

The townies can be added back in manually, of course, but I don't know of any good way to add NPCs back in.

I'm having some "issues" with the Uberhood files; I'm missing Grand Vampires. Should I create them manually or is there another way to fix this? I've also got a number of "Unknowns" (I'm assuming that they're Pollination Techs and other NPCs that come with Freetime/BV etc). I have all EPs and SPs.

The game will spawn grand vampires as needed, don't worry. If it hasn't happened yet, that just means the random event of a vampire appearing hasn't happened yet. Some Unknowns are normal, they're the various NPCs (remote control car, skunk, etc). The HoodChecker by Mootilda (http://www.modthesims.info/d/456523) will let you know if you have some Unknowns that shouldn't be there, but if you're using Multi-PT hacks or anything similar, the HC will show those too, so keep that in mind.

Thank you for clarifying that! I was worried that I had done something wrong. I did spawn them manually however because everyone (every single sim) in the Uberhood is getting a makeover.

You can't even imagime how useful this is! My game's in Russian and Kaylynn Langerak is translated as Julianna Tesla (!). Thank you, it's really, really useful:)

Nicola Tesla was the first association I got when I saw her translated name. But it seems to be that the translators just used familiar names randomly without really meaning anything :(
