Eee! I was thrilled to see you update - wow, the house make-over looks amazing - I love the tree and the garden around it. It looks fab! And of course, I'm loving the story - you really are making these unloved families very interesting :D

Glad you like the little story. People are often especially bored with the Greenmans and plantsims in general, so I'm trying to make them a little more interesting!
I think you are definitely succeeding. And it actually works since Rose fears having a baby and is a family sim (IIRC), so having the Plantsim backstory there makes her more intriguing :)
Thanks. :) Yeah, Rose does fear having a baby, sphynxed mentioned it too. Seems to fit. I mean, family sims usually don't fear having a baby when they only have one from before.
Brilliant! The story really expands on this family in an interesting way... I love the idea that the PlantSims really don't approve of Sim/PlantSim babies. Seems to make sense, though!
Thank you! :) I was always sort of bothered by how none of the supernaturals can pass on their traits... except plantsims, but only if they spawn them as plantbabies! So I needed to make up an explanation for that. I see them as a type of elves, who generally aren't very fond of "humans"/sims.
I remember having a plantbaby roll a want to hire a gardener, so it may just be a plantsim quirk. However this was before I was really careful about neighborhood corruption, so it may be a coincidence. Maybe someone else also got this want to confirm the quirk, or we'll know when your hood keeps showing more signs of corruption.
I don't think it's corrupted, I haven't seen anything else bad and I've played a fair bit after this. Plus I'm extremely careful with keeping my neighbourhoods clean. Makes sense that it's a plantsim quirk, though.
The Greenman family is already one of my favorites, but I absolutely love the story you've created for them. I believe Rose even has the fear of having a baby at the beginning. I'd love to see how normal sims turned Plantsims fit into the culture you've imagined.

Thank you! You're right, she does have that fear. It was part of what inspired me for this little storyline, but since it's a while since I first played them (and thought up their story), I'd actually forgotten about the fear when I wrote this!
I think I'll deal with sims-turned-plantsims when/if it comes up, but I have an idea about how to do that. Despite the lack of pointy ears, I see Rose as a full plantsim, since she has no memory of growing up like a regular sim.
The gardener want is pretty funny! Could be that it's just a want plantsims are more likely to roll, and they forgot to check the age of the plantsim in the code or something.
