Question:

What's better? Living a little bit further out with a nicer place (that's bigger and cheaper) or settling for something really close that's dingy, smaller, and more expensive? :\

It depends. If you have easy access to transportation (a car and money for gas, buses, subways etc.) then you should choose the nice place that's farther away.

If commuting becomes a hassle or expensive, then it's probably more convenient to choose the smaller place.

I hope that this helps.

I do. I mean, yeah gas will add up, but I still think I'd rather the larger/nicer place. :\

I would choose the first option without a doubt, assuming commuting is not a problem. :)

The nicer place! I think it's more important to really feel comfortable in your own place rather than just have it cheaper. : )

The nice thing is that it is the cheaper one! ^__^ It's just a bit of a drive from where I am now. :P

Haha. Yeah, we're trying to settle it this week. I called the lady today to tell her that we wanted it, but she wasn't available and didn't call me back.
