 I wasn't teary-eyed until I watched his acceptance speech and saw the emotion in the crowd. I'm beginning to feel like significant portions of my own country feel the same way that I do, and this is the first time since I have become eligible to vote.

Also, look at these numbers:

Minority groups:
Black: 95% Obama, 4% McCain
Hispanic: 66%, 31%
Asian: 62

record numbers for "minorities" coming out to vote. It's so great that they feel empowered enough to come out. My sis voted McCain which I found quite unpleasant but I was glad we were standing at the local polls together and participating in history. I'll change her mind by next election hehe
