I've gotta pack my bags, leave this home, start walking, yeah

The emptying walls and growing move clutter is making me a bit claustrophobic. :P Well, moreso, lol. Bleh. But packing up things that aren't being actively used is just practical. You'd think empty walls would make me feel *less* claustrophobic, but it doesn't ( Read more... )

I envy your purging skillz - I know it comes with moving, but still. I live like those people on Clean Sweep (if you've never seen that show, a bunch of irritating people dump packrats' living rooms out on the lawn and make them get rid of a bunch of stuff), and gods above I don't know why I can never get rid of anything!

Good on you guys for making sure someone who can use your stuff gets it. I've been stocking up a giant bag of crap to take...I dunno, somewhere, I don't LIKE the Salvation Army, but they're right THERE...because I hate throwing things out. Unfortunately my mother just dumps things that are perfectly good - drives me nuts (just like my obsessive hoarding drives her nuts.) Anyway. Rock on with yo bad selves.

And ya for Ma-Tsu. Give her a kiss for me!

Normally, we are quite the pack rats ourselves. We've surprised ourselves with what we're willing to give up! There's a lot of places like the Salvation Army that I don't trust, but I've never heard anything nasty about Habitat for Humanity, we feel really good about that. :)

The expense of moving is definitely good incentive for dumping stuff. :P Especially heavy stuff. The little stuff is going to Goodwill because we don't know where else to send it. We don't like throwing out stuff either. Things have to be REALLY dead for us to throw it away, LOL!

*smooches from a Ma-tsu!*

I love it when bunnies get officious about proceedings. Huck was all about directing the yardwork, and as she lived in the laundry room she was definitely the laundry queen. (We wondered at one point how it was that we had a rabbit who separated out laundry--darks from lights. Then we realized that the "darks" were all my brother's--HER human's--clothes, and she could smell him on them and was pulling them into a pile.) There was a lot of proprietary circling of the piles, hampers, and feet, and she would get all pushed out of shape if you messed with her carefully sorted piles.

Cardboard boxes are fun! Who doesn't like them? (Not packing-wise; playing-wise.)

Hehe, it's true, cardboard boxes are the epideme of cheap entertainment! ^_^

And rabbits are hilarious! Laundry queen, that's awesome! I wonder if it's more a female bunny thing, being officious about proceedings? Our boys don't seem to care so much. They're curious, but much more "Foodz? Pettingz? Yay! A new space to lounge against!" Daphne is the only one who inspects, supervises, and pretty much oversees everything. Which is just adorable as she's the tiny one with the big enormous doe-eyes.
