buy a rice cooker/steamer!

You can't go wrong. They are worth their weight in gold. Perfect rice EVERY time with NO effort.

I command you to go buy one - they're not expensive. :)

I burned it, and it still kicks instant rice ass. Jasmine rice 4 evah!

Yeah, we really need a rice cooker but more than that we need a bigger kitchen. :P I dunno where we'd put it!

I've always wanted to try jasmine rice.

And that video made me laugh. It reminds me of when I went to this Navaratri celebration at my school last year--it was about 75-80% Indians and the rest was mostly white girls. When the bhangra started, most of the white girls started dancing like how white girls tend to dance in a club (you know) and I felt like saying, "Um, you don't grind to these songs, girls".

Yeah, definitely embarrassing. Part of the reason I didn't dance, besides not having any rhythm.

And yeah, I don't dance and it makes Karen nuts. She loves to dance. I'm just too self concious to bring myself to even try. :P

I think that is funny, because Jasmine rice is pretty much all my husband and I eat besides:

Thai Basil rice
Sticky Rice

White people and their plain white rice... ;)

Yeah, Jasmine rice 4 evah. Yummy! Thai Basil rice sounds good too! I wonder if we have that at our store... I was lucky to spot the Jasmine rice as it is! Man, we really need a steamer. Stupid small kitchen. :P

No Asian markets around you? We don't buy this stuff at the regular grocery store.

If you do find one, try picking up some of the sauces. :)

If there is one, Amarin will know! I've been trying lots of new stuff lately, but the Asian section of our grocery store doesn't have a very vast selection. Any sauce recommendations and/or warnings? I don't do very spicy well, lol!
