The Dreaded Tea Party Appears at Last

There is an assortment of teas set out in an open courtyard. It looks quite inviting, actually. Teas of all kinds and flavors are set in decorative tea pots. Everything seems perfectly normal. There's a curious party already checking out the teas. It's Yuu-chan. She keeps popping the lids open and peering into the tea pots. She seems to expect to

[The tea smelled fine. So he didn't see any harm in drinking some. He doesn't know it yet, but he's about to get what he's wanted for a good ten years now--at least for as long as the tea's effects last. It hasn't taken effect yet but when it does he's going to be thrown for one hell of a loop. No longer a Nobody--but human. With a beating heart and everything.]

Yes. I just wonder if it's becoming a habit for us. [He's pouring a cup of rose tea--not to drink but to take with him when he goes. He's so going to study it.]

[And lapsing into silence which is usualy so comforting to him. But now it just feels kind of... weird. Awkward. This is all going to take some major getting used to... He glances at Yuu out of the corner of his eye as he pours the tea--hoping she'll think of a subject because heaven knows he isn't good at finding topics for casual conversation.]

[Well that was random. But okay.] I don't dislike them. But I haven't really had much to do with animals in general so I can't say if I like them or not. [Pause.] Do you?

Oh. [His response seems to leave her a little deflated but his question earns him a look and a giggle. She points to her ears] I'd kinda be in trouble if I didn't like cats.

[He's going to try and find a cure for the rose tea. He's just taken a sip of the Strawberry tea to see if that works.] They look cute on you though. [Wait--where the heck did that come from?? He can feel his cheeks heating a little--well that apparently didn't help. Question is--what did it do?]

[And now she's blushing.] Ah. Thank you. [Noticing him drinking the tea.] You really should stop. Drinking too many teas isn't good. Trust me. You do trust me, don't you?

...How long do effects tend to last? [She's had those cat ears a while now hasn't she? Ugh... This could be bad...]

It varies. Sometimes a couple hours, sometimes a couple of days. I'm one of the rare few who the effects last a while on... [She sighs] Anyway, be grateful you only drank that tea. There are worse teas to drink. I've seen all the effects. Of course, I didn't think this tea event would end up here, too...

I think this is the worst effect I could have ended up with. [He should just keep his mouth shut but he can't seem to.] The first one isn't so bad though it's what I've wanted for a long time now. [He feels like he should just get out of here before he says too much. But instead he's just standing there, looking alarmed and raising a hand to his mouth.]

Really? I can't think of a worse effect than sparkling. Of course, there's the tea that causes lies. That would be pretty bad. There are many weird, terrible smyptoms. [She doesn't press the issue. She's curious though.] Are you alright?

I would have prefered lies. [Closing his eyes and trying not to say any more.] And even sparkling would have been better. [He won't say anymore. He won't say anymore. He--] In some ways, I'm better than I've been in years. However I fear I'm incapable of stopping myself from being fully honest now. [Where is a wall that he can beat himself unconcious on?]

[Staring, staring, staring. And then she laughs.] Well, then, shouldn't you find the lie tea? I hear certain teas cancel each other out. I'm pretty sure that's one of them. [She shrugs] What tea did you drink? Maybe that will provide a clue.

I don't find it funny at all. Though I suppose it's better that I found you in this state since your trying to help rather than get information from me. [Urgh! And he's so frustrated with himself he stutters!] S-strawberry. [Oh God...]
